Kickstarter Kicked A#$e!
There is nothing more inspiring than a group of like minded Business Entreprenuers getting together to share ideas, learn from each and network the hell out of the room!
Kickstart 2020 was an awesome night of all that, set under the arching sales of the Sydney Opera House.
One of the big take aways for the night was around getting more clients, by focusing on serving them, rather than selling at them. Taking the time to identify who is our ideal client, and what is it that they want to learn about and receive information on. Rather than trying to hard sell with a “This is what we do”.
It was honestly one of the most rewarding experiences of my life to see so many genuine Creative Entrepreneurs all in the one room. Heads down writing, taking iphone shots and sharing stories with each other.
So many of us started in this wonderful wedding industry because we love what we do, and we’re super passionate about it. For me, I see my ideal client as being someone like me about 10 years ago (and Dean as a husband and wife team).
“We were working so hard in our business that we didnt have any time left, and yet with no home of our own, no money in the bank and losing the passion very quickly.”
But it is this passion that we all started with, that can help us to invest in our businesses greatest asset - ourselves! And why I’ve come up with a more succinct phrase than ‘Business Growth Strategy for Passion Based Small Businesses.” (Yep, that’s a mouthful.)
So the new phrase is …
“Turning Our Passion into Profits”
And I’m so excited that the journey is continuing with a series of upcoming webinars.
What will be covered in the webinars?
The specifics on How To Identify Your Ideal Client
How to Write a Business Plan
How to be better rewarded and scale your business
And a new topic I’ve been asked about -
Handling Client Objections and Complaints - delicately when they’re not your fault!
An extra thank you to Natasha from ABIA, as well as Selina and the team from Easy Weddings, for travelling up from Melbourne to share their knowledge at the event as well.
Thank you to the team from Soda Films for capturing video of the event, as well as our team from Inlighten Photography for the images below. Such an incrdible set up by Nadia Duran in the Yallaamundi Rooms - it was so exciting to see the looks on everyones faces as they entered!
